Palkkamaalausta ja peli-iltoja

Vuosi alkaa olla loppupuolella ja figuja on saatu maalailtua kaappiin ihan mukavasti. Suurin ja pisin projektini Raven guard, tuli vaatimattoman kuuden vuoden rakentamisen jälkeen valmiiksi. Mustista korpeista tulee kattava reportaasi lähitulevaisuudessa. Herra paratkoon.

Tällä hetkellä maalauspöydällä käy kova kuhina. Monta rautaa on tulessa. Päällimmäisenä telineessä ovat suurkollektööri ja kurioseettimies M.R:n Space hulk-figuurit. Nämä miniatyyrit ovat ensimmäinen palkkamaalauskokonaisuuteni ja ne olisi tarkoitus saada valmiiksi vuoden loppuun mennessä. Sanottakoon, että tehtävän laajuus hieman yllätti, sillä paljon suurempi työ noissa on, mita alkuun oletin.

Lisäksi pöydällä notkuvat Possessed-joukkio Mordheimiin, Goblineiden jalkapallojoukkue ja pieni ryhmä Blood angelsien rynnäkkö-joukkoja.

Ohjelmaa on suunnitteilla seuraavalle muutamalle kuukaudelle. Parin viikon päästä suuntaan Kuopioon, jossa on luvassa niin fantasy battlea seitsemännen editionin säännöillä sekä uusinta 40koota. Tammikuussa on Mordheim-porukan jalkapalloilta, jossa pelataan Blood bowlia ja heti helmikuun alkapuolella on isolla joukolla 40koota Jyväskylässä.

Powering up

Pari vuotta hiljaiseloa on pitkä aika. Vaan eipä tässä olla toimettomina maattu. Perheen väkimäärä on tuplattu ja vaikka eetteriin saakka ei olla otoksia pikku-ukoista saatu, ei se tarkoita etteikö pensseli olisi viuhunut. 

Vuoden 2017 aikana on tarkoitus potkaista homma kunnolla käyntiin niin 40k:n kuin Mordheiminkin saralla. Kuvaussessioita, vanhojen partojen turnauksia ja peliraportteja! Oma henkilökohtainen tavoitteeni ensi vuodelle on Raven Guardin valmiiksi saattaminen.

Muutkin blogistit ovat olleet toimeliaina. Huhut kertovat Ollin örkkijoukon saaneen huomattavia lisäjoukkoja ja Riston Dark eldarit ovat täydentyneet kaikensorttisilla pedoilla. 

Tästä se taas lähtee.

PoTM: Raven guard Captain

Hey hey.

Here's the latest addition to my Raven Guard force. A captain. As you can see it's an Emperor's Champion from the Black templars. I like the miniature so much that I had to paint one for the Raven Guard also. Paintjob was pretty straighforward because I wanted to keep color palette to a minimum. Here's some pictures.

Next I'll be steering away from the Raven guard for a while mainly for two reasons; I'd like to use some colours while painting and secondly the rumours tell that there's going to be a new Codex for Space Marines in autumn. So the summer is a good time to break up the routines. I have an Imperial guard sentinel and some chaos cultists on my desk now. Let's see what can we make of them.

PoTM: Raven guard Terminators

Hello! It's time to update yet another Painting of The Month chapter. As I promised is update consist not one but two new squads to my ever growing Raven Guard army.

First the scouts:



These fellas were coated with thick layers of old paint and as a lazy painter I did not bothered to scrap the old layers off. The result is somewhat poor. Cleverly I took only one picture in shady lighting so the illusion of me being a good painter does not fade. Close combat weapons and bolt pistols there.



Sergeant is converted to carry a power fist for a little Uumpf. I don't expect them to survive very long. The main reason for their existense is the teleport homer which allows me to deep strike my brand new terminator squad down to the battlefield with pin-point accuracy.

Boom! Here they are. 8 of the finest. Sergeant is an old captain model. He's sword arm was missing so I had to make a new one from the terminator box. Bit of green stuff and gluing there. Other equipment consist a pair of chainfists and of course all the special weapon options are available.

The terminators were incredibly fun to paint. Also being able to paint white surfaces for a change was very pleasant. I'll be definately making another squad of them probably with assault weapons.

Next month it's time for the Captain. I'm also making a report about the assembly of my new paint station which arrived from Poland last week.
